On a system where KDE is installed (I gather this is important, as https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy … management indicates that systemd's power management is inhibited by KDE), when I start the shutting down process and close the laptop's lid during the shutdown (and obviously before the powering off), the system will enter suspension right away.
Then, when I open the lid again and the system resumes from suspension, the shutting down process is continued from where it stopped.
Can I somehow prevent this from happening? I do not want to get rid of the suspension trigger on closing the lid (I like this functionality), but rather inhibit the trigger from going of when I started the shutdown process.

For me, shutdown takes all of 1-2 seconds... why not just wait it out?
