Wine configuration - hardware acceleration

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I could turn down/off hardware accelleration in Wine?

I'm trying to use Finale under wine, but there's a screen redraw bug that makes it slow and jerky, so impossible to use.  The only mention I can find of the problem suggests its a Finale bug, and recommends turning down hardware accelleration in the windows settings (http://makemusic.custhelp.com/app/answe … -in-finale).  Is there any equivalent action I can take in Wine?

Can't find anything about this bug on the appdb.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Wine configuration - hardware acceleration

I personally use `driconf` to mess with 3D settings for my Intel card. I use it to force off 3D acceleration and render texture compression in software for some Wine applications. I'm sure there are other ways to do what you're asking as well but that is one useful tool for those purposes.
