[SOLVED]Unable to exit OpenBox session after recent update

Since today's updates I am unable to close the Openbox session. As soon as I confirm the exit in the pop up window there is some sort of 'reload' of the screen and OpenBox appears to 'die'. That is, the OBmenu (nor f.e. dmenu) is no longer displayed and the program windows that are started afterwards overlap the tint2 panel. Additionally these windows ignore any OB window shortcut (maximize, restore etc.).

I am still figuring out how the recent consolekit update/dropping has affected my system due to running an old sysinit setup. Even though with init=/bin/systemd added to my syslinux.cfg kernel line, that is a hybrid start if I am not mistaken, the behaviour is the same.
Therefore I am not sure if this is one of its possible side effects.

Search the forum. There are several other open topics discussing this issue. Unfortunately no one seems to have a solution yet.

Thanks 2ManyDogs. Silly me was more focusing on consolekit and systemd than on OB itself. Thanks again.
