[2012-10-31 11:28] upgraded ibus (1.4.2-2 -> 1.4.99.20121006-1)
looks like this broke all.
finding my way to rollback.

I've installed googlepinyin from AUR , and the ibus 1.4.99 doesn't work either .

Same here, after upgrading onto Gnome 3.6 ibus is dead. It shows me that the daemon is running, but I cannot input any Chinese.
Strawberry fields forever!

There's https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/32293 but I'm not sure if it's related.

If you use googlepinyin or other AUR packages that depends on ibus, you'll need to rebuild them.

it still doesn't work.
I'm rolling back now.

Did you rebuild googlepinyin? What's the output of 'pacman -Qi ibus'

Finally got it to work, after I deleted ~/.config/dconf/user – not the elegant way, but it worked.
The stupid thing now is, that Ibus switches the keyboard map by itself. means, I have a German keyboard, but switching to Pinyin brings me an English-US! So the letters Z and Y are distorted at the keyboard.
Is there any possibility to use Chinese with a German keyboard map?
BTW: Output of pacman -Q |grep -e '^ibus' is
ibus 1.4.99.20121006-1
ibus-m17n 1.3.4-2
ibus-pinyin 1.4.0-2
ibus-qt 1.3.1-5
ibus-sunpinyin 2.0.3-3

So you got it to work without reverting to the earlier ibus? I had to go back to ibus 1.4.2-2 and ibus-anthy 1.2.7-1 to get it to work. Also, ibus-qt has not been updated, and the existing ibus-qt 1.3.1-5 did not seem to like ibus 1.4.99.20121006-1.
