@sboysel,
I'd love to get a hold of your tag icon.
They're courtesy of anrxc. There's a bunch of layout icons too. Can't remember where I found them but here they are:

Hi , guys I'm new on ArchLinux and Awesome, but I'm manage to configure my own archlinux + awesome.
I would like to know what kind of file explorer is this one that I've seen in a page of this topic.
Thanks !

Probably PCManFM.

Hi everyone,
I'm currently using i3wm but Awesome is what I've been after for the past year or so. The only thing I believe it lacks it's a program launcher. For instance, in i3wm I can press $Mod4+d and then type firefox and it will run without an idle terminal next to it.
Is this option available on Awesome WM? That's the only thing that keeps me on i3wm. Btw, I don't want to make click or whatever to launch my programs, that's why I am asking.
Thank you in advance :-)

sure it is. you typically press mod+r and type
but you can configure any key combination you like

Also, mod4+d isn't set to anything by default, so you can make that your launcher combo if it's already ingrained in you muscle memory.

There's dmenu as an external app, or the menubar in the Git master dev branch for Awesome. The Awesome wiki has info on these.
