I can't install the latest CInnamon from the AUR on either my desktop PC (xorg-server 1.12, catalyst 12.6) or my laptop (xf86-video-intel, every single package up to date). I get the following error on both computers:
$ makepkg -csi

What do I have to do to get it working?

Hi there
Did you post this output in the AUR package comments? You have to let the package mantainer know about this error.

Yes. I did that three days ago, but it's still not fixed. Since I've recently given up all hope on GNOME 3, I thought I'd try to fix this myself as quickly as possible (if even possible).

is not English.
3. Please post in the appropriate section of the forum. I asked the moderators to move it to AUR issues: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewforum.php?id=38

Sorry for posting in the wrong section.
However, since the only error message that is of any importance in English I didn't translate the localised "helpful user output" back to English since it'd probably not be the same as the original strings anyway.

You can run apps with LC_ALL=C, e.g.
$ LC_ALL=C makepkg -csi
and you should get all output in English :-)
It may be of little importance in this case, but it generally helps.

Oh, thanks. Didn't know it was that simple! First post is updated now.
