Recently I used an USB stick to dd a Arch image to it for an install (I followed the Arch wiki instructions). The install worked fabolously, but now I cannot recover the USB stick.
In Linux, in dmesg all it says is:
[93611.128892] usb 2-1: new high-speed USB device number 7 using ehci_hcd
It's not listed at all under fisk -l, neither with parted. Under Windows, it finds a 400MB USB stick (it should be 2GB), but formatting fails there anyway.
Any suggestions?

Ah, I'm rebooting as we speak but I think I know what it is. Updated to new kernel but have not rebooted so it doesn't find the modules directory I imagine. Been fooled by this numerous times now yet I never learn...

Heh. Kernel updates are a bitch. I even lost money because of this; I kept a client outside for an hour while I tried fucking around with various virtual machines just so I could copy-paste something.
Don't forget to mark the topic as solved so that other people (including yourself sometimes) may find useful.
And also, the wiki has something to say about restoring it: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/US … NU.2FLinux
I have made a personal commitment not to reply in topics that start with a lowercase letter. Proper grammar and punctuation is a sign of respect, and if you do not show any, you will NOT receive any help (at least not from me).

Huh, didn't see that part in the wiki. Yeah I just used fdisk to create a new msdos partition table and all was good! Thanks for the help.
