Hi.
First of all, I'm not entirely sure if this is an ArchLinux issue, but I've noticed this after I moved into arch about a week ago.
SOMETIMES (I have no idea how to reproduce it - it just happens randomly every day) when I shut down the laptop (either using MATE shutdown, or using `shutdown -h` from the console, or even by phisycally pressing the power key on the laptop), it seems to be properly shut down, but if I *touch* it (press any key, or even move the laptop lid a little), it happens to start up again. This happend randomly, but ONLY if I shut down the system AFTER ArchLinux boots - if I press the power button at any time before the boot, it shutdowns properly and will not start again by itself.
Of course, I've got all those laptop-mode tools installed and acpi enabled. It's a Lenovo B580, with nvidia optimus (if it's related). This doesn't seem to be anything like 'Wake on keybord' bios settings - everything there is set properly.
As English is not my native language, I'd like to apologize if my language sounds wrong ;-)

My desktops have a feature in their BIOSs called something like "Power On After Power Failure", I haven't heard of it in a laptop before but maybe it's worth a check?

Nope, no such thing here.
I think it happens more often if I shutdown the laptop while it is NOT on AC... But really, I see nothing in any log file, no errors are printed to stdout during the shutdown process... Maybe it's actually a hardware issue.
