uhmm, not me, but it was indeed said, but i did not know if you tried it that way wink

Did you tried already to use sda instead of hda already?

Another thing you could try is chrooting into your root partition using the boot cd (if you are chrooted into your root partition you can use pacman etc). Then downgrade to an older version of the kernel (if it's not in your cache, you can use the one from the bootcd). Reinstall grub and create /boot/grub/menu.lst
Reboot and cross your fingers.

Fixed it now, deleted Arch and did a reinstall following the things cactus said in that thread and it worked. wink
