[sloved]wireless network problem

i install arch today and set my wireless network as the handbook say . but the wifi could only be use in installation  environmet. i have  checked  iwconfig but everything  seems well:
IEEE 802.11bgn    ESSID:"TP-LINK"
Mode:Managed  Freequency:2.427Ghz  Access  Point:74:EA:3A...
Bit Rate=150mb/s  Tx-Power=20dbm

but when i ping  an add, it shows that "unknown hoat". whats the matter  with that

Re: [sloved]wireless network problem

Do you have an ip address?  It would probably help if you provided more information.  It is hard to tell you what your problem is if there is no information to determine as much.

Read this, and try again.

i guess  ip exists,  for i run "dhcpcd wlan0" it sbows that dhcp is running. as i can't use  X yet,  i  could only  input these  imformations by my cellphone.  i will  provide  more imformations  later  ,thanks.

Re: [sloved]wireless network problem

Have you tried to simply use netcfg?  More specifically, use wifi-menu?

# wifi-menu

It will do all the work for you.

See this is what is meant by more information is needed.  It really sucks to try to help someone who is witholding information.  I am sorry you have to type on a phone or whatever, but until you learn how to describe your problem in an effective way, you're on your own as far as I'm concerned.
