[SOLVED] Bumblebee.service stuck on activating

I recently reinstalled Arch on my Acer Aspire 3830TG laptop, and installed bumblebee from the AUR with all of its dependencies. At first when I attempted to use the optirun command with glxgears, it gave me an error saying the nouevau module was not loaded. I never installed it as I am using nVidia-bumblebee. I changed the driver setting in /etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf to nvidia, and now whenever I attempt to run a program with optirun it says the bumblebee daemon is not running. As i am using systemd and systemctl, I ran the systemctl command, and it lists the bumblebee.service as activating, but not active, which tells me that the daemon is not fully loaded. How would I find out why? I have been checking logs with no luck, and found nothing via google, can anyone help? I am at a loss.

fyi, I am not new to Archlinux.

Re: [SOLVED] Bumblebee.service stuck on activating

idk why, but I had to install dkms-nvidia, and now the daemon will start, and I am able to use the optirun command sucessfully. I did have the nvidia driver kernel reccomended by bumblebee installed. I have no clue why dkms-nvidia was needed, but hey, its working!

Maybe you should contact the maintainer of the nvidia-bumblebee package and have him|her update the deps.
