Xorg hangs the system

Just installed arch on an old laptop with SiS graphics but it cant seem to start X normally the system just hangs and i can't even log into other tty.

https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/32315 <- it was closed as "not a bug", but there is a bug. The second comment in that bug has a workaround.
