Gnome Shell 3.6 Removable media - open with 'Disk Usage Analyser'?!

Hi,

I've searched the net a bit and only me and Los Frijoles have complained about the pop-up notification when you insert a removable media like an USB drive or a data CD/DVD and the only option there is is 'Open with Disk Usage Analyser' (baobab) instead of 'Open with Files' (nautilus) like in previous Gnome 3 versions.

Is this a upstream or and Arch-specific issue? Should I file a bug report?

Fundamental Axiom of the Universe (aka Murphy's Law): Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.
First Digital Deduction: Nothing obeys Murphy's Law so well as computers.
Second Digital Deduction: Everything go wrong at least once.
Third Digital Deduction: Things go wrong even when there's absolutely no possibility of anything go wrong.

I can confirm this.
This applies to the keyboard shortcut for "Open home folder" (or something similiar, English isn't my system language), too. It is like Disk Usage Analyzer is set default for opening directories.
A little bit of google-fu yielded this and this.

I can also confirm this bug. Happens in any situation where I ask an application to open the containing folder. Chrome, Skype, you name it. hmm

EDIT: can confirm that installing gnome-defaults-list from the AUR solves the issue as proposed in the bug report, though it probably isn't the most optimal solution.

Disk Usage Analyzer hijacks the mime type through its .desktop file  tongue

Try this FWIW :

 xdg-mime default nautilus.desktop inode/directory

... and see if it works smile

I can also confirm this bug.
Commmand:
"xdg-mime default nautilus.desktop  inode/directory"
doesn't work yet!

Did you run the command as normal user?
If not, you should.
