Hi,
Whenever I shutdown/reboot my system, I see in the logs that /var always fails to unmount. My /var is a crypted luks partition and I have several tmpfs placed inside luks. I have never experienced any errors due to that issue, but I am really worried that this could lead to data leaks or such.
Sadly, I have no idea how that did happen. So I am hope that someone around here could lead me to a solution of my problem.
Thanks in advance,
szt

Do you have the shutdown HOOKS in your mkinitcpio.conf?
If not, try if it helps to add it.

Didn't help. It still occurs.
Could it be connected to the order of my /etc/fstab?

/var usually fails to unmount because the journal is still in use. I had some weird problems with /var until I noticed that I did miss the shutdown hook. Since then: no more problems of this kind.
To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.
