This is so good it hurts, my best setup ever. I went to simplify everything, down to CGA Xresources colors and very simple xmonad configuration (34 SLOC) with 2/3 ratios.
~]$ grep startx .profile
[[ -z $DISPLAY && `tty` = /dev/ttyC0 ]] && exec startx
I would rather use Tamsyn font in place of Terminus but I need ISO10646. Plus, since I'm going for simplicity, Terminus has a tad simpler shapes.
That little pufferfish is my ALIX router running OpenBSD, of course.

Cool setup. If you use rxvt-unicode instead of xterm, you can specify a primary font and any number of secondary fonts to fill in missing characters, so you could have your cake and eat it too. This is actually the reason rxvt-unicode was created.

New to dwm... it's awesome!
Then I'd recommend dwb as a browser over chrome!

Yeah, know everything about it, but I like running as much built-in stuff as possible. And xterm even has built-in copy to clipboard resource. However, urxvt and xmonad are match made in heaven so I broke down and installed it, using urxvtd -q -o -f of course and a perl ext for clipboard. Here's the updated config:
My 'lil HP MicroServer AMD Neo N36L was never this enjoyable! :)

Xmonad has 800MB of haskell deps and your worried about a tiny perl extension for your terminal?
Just messin' with ya'. It is your party, afterall.

You have a point :) Tried dwm and scrotwm multiple times, but xmonad is the most natural and the 'cleanest' of them all. Actually, I have an idea to re-implement the xmonad subset I use into plain C, but that is just a dream at this point :)

Switched from dwm to xmonad and from thayer's colors to solarized dark. Most changes though can't be seen, so I recorded my dmenu hackery for fun with byzanz.

Sweet place! Is it yours?

That is a great wallpaper, though I must observe that the Bulgarian auto industry seems a bit behind the curve.
And what's this emacs stuff?!
