Looking for good mixer app for openbox desktop

Hi,

I just made a fresh install of Arch and I am trying to set up an openbox based minimal desktop. I have used fbpanel for the panel and the default sound mixer is alsamixer, but it is rather limited. (Can't find any way to control mixer switches).

Is there a good mixer app I could use, not dependent on installing megabytes of unwanted kde/gnome/Xfce libraries?

My thanks in advance

Thanks for the tip. Didn't find tint2 as I did a pacman -Ss panel and tint2 is described as task manager. It looks very nice, but I need a number of applets like network and processor monitors, memory usage and the volume/mixer control. I will have a look at the documentation to see if and how it is done.
