[SOLVED] Matrox G200e chip broken with kernel 3.5+

I have a machine with a Matrox G200e graphics chip. Since the 3.5 kernel it switches from text mode to graphic mode during boot up and something goes wrong (can't tell what) but the machine ends up with a blank screen. The 3.4 kernel series works.
Does anybody have a Matrox G200e chip working with a 3.5+ kernel?

This driver is marked as experimental. The only option I have currently is to blacklist the mgag200 driver.
