While trying to update pacman via linux32 I have managed to break my system, I forgot to upgrade pacman first so now cannot log in to desktop
pacman: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Can chroot in but as yet not been able to repair the problem, wondering if I can run pacman to fix my system?

Ehmm.... aren't you an Archbang user?
Anyway, for old times sake:
Can chroot in but as yet not been able to repair the problem, wondering if I can run pacman to fix my system?
What exactly have you tried so far?

I was trying to build both i686 and x86_64 isos on my system [archiso], when I ran linx32 pacman -Syyu forgot to upgrade pacman first. I know pacman is up to date on x86_64.
Found a thread on trying to reinstall libcurl but that did not work.
Not a problem if I have borked system I will simply reinstall.

... when I used the word "exactly", I was expecting that you would reply with an exact description of what you had tried, along with both the expected and actual results, include all error messages reproduced verbatim.
If your not able to provide that detail, then I agree you should reinstall.

Not much information I can give you, simply used a livecd mounted my /root partition then ran pacman -S pacman curl -r /mnt this allowed pacman to work again. Not out of the woods yet I think ohter packages are affected but will check pacman.log.
Building isos can damage your systems health
Thanks
