Hi.
I've just freshly installed arch linux, and upgraded it all with pacman.
But with IRC or X-Chat (haven't tested with other clients) I have root as ident/username, which cannot be changed. user_name (which is ident) is set to loke in irssi and I have also maked sure that it's set to loke in the Server List in X-Chat.
I AM running the clients with my normal user, also I can see on the process list (ps aux | grep irssi or xchat) that they're ran as my user.
I'm not running a identd server either, so I'm pretty much blank.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Just an idea: did you copy any config files from somewhere? I'm not sure where xchat keeps it's files (~/.x-chat ??), but it might be stored in there some where.
