All of the 'n's in my terminal are replaced by 'l'. Why did this happen and how can I fix it? Seems to only happen in X, console terminal is still fine.
EDIT: This is really weird. After typing this thread out I had a look back at my terminal (using gnome/cinnamon btw) and all the n's were back. The moment there is any output on the console, though, the n's turn back to l's.

Is it really specific to zsh? That's what you title says... but then you say it is specific to (all shells in?) X...

If you use nvidia it is probably related to this issue

I saw same behaviour a week or so ago.

I think this is my problem. I am using nvidia. I updated yesterday and have yet to see it happen again.
