I'm running systemd and linux-ck with absolutely no problems here. As I recall from reading CK's outline/FAQ on BFS, it actually doesn't even implement the cgroups mechanism:

What features does BFS have and not have?
On top of the current scheduler design, it has a SCHED_IDLEPRIO which actually
does only schedule tasks when idle, and SCHED_ISO for unprivileged realtime
performance. BFS does NOT implement CGROUPS. A desktop user should not need
know about CGROUPS, nor should they need to use them. BFS also does not have
the feature of "lots of tunables I don't understand".

I cannot use the i686 virtualbox-ck-host-modules-corex. When modprobing, I get a: ERROR: could not insert 'vboxdrv': Exec format error

The same does not occur on my x86_64 ck-corex system

Thank you for reporting this. Think I squashed the bug that introduced it (problem w/ my building script). Plz update `pacman -Syyu` and let me know if you're good.

Now that we have an nvidia-ck and nvidia-304xx-ck package, I have updated the conflicts arrays for nvidia-ck. I still need to build all of the nvidia-304xx-ck packages. I hope to have some time either later tonight or tomorrow. Hang tight you legacy nvidia owners.

Who needs this package instead of the 'nvidia-ck' package? Users of GeForce 6 and 7 series. Starting with release of the 310 series, NVIDIA’s minimum supported hardware will be the GeForce 8 series. My advice for repo users of GeForce 6 and 7 series hardware is to wait for me to post again indicating that I have deployed the 'nvidia-304xx-ck' series to the repo.

EDIT: I'm surprised I'm still supported with NVS 135m mobile graphics.

Have you ever considered supporting catalyst drivers on the repo? I know you haven't had good experiences with them, but it seems that times are a changing. Especially since even the official Arch community repo has them since October.

Thanks very much for your effort, graysky; will watch for the new package. My desktop machine has a GeForce 7300 GT, and I was unaware that NVIDIA had stopped supporting the GeForce 7 series (with the newest driver branch) until reading this post.

Wow, I totally derped…I don't even use linux-ck on my desktop! I would, except ck kernel + NVIDIA blob + Compiz as WM = ridiculous delay/freeze when mapping/switching OpenGL windows…no idea how to fix/if it can be fixed.

Oh, well…still found out about NVIDIA's deprecation of GeForce 7 GPUs, though.

I installed nvidia-304xx-ck 304.64-1 from AUR. Hope I can use nvidia-304xx-ck-kx from [repo-ck] in the future.

Ok. Repo is populated with all flovors of nvidia-304xx-ck. for those of you who built it manually from the AUR, first remove the package you built, then:

# pacman -Syy && pacman -S <package>

graysky, I just want to let you know that your repo is still being kinda funky. It is not as bad as before, but my last update was fluctuating from <50KB/s to ~450KB/s. And it was mostly on the low side.

Just thought you might want to know since I presume you pay for the hosting. (Which by the way I appreciate very much... thanks )

Thx for the info. The godaddy tech support said there is nothing wrong per their tests. Maybe it's time to shop around again. Speeds to my stuff is actually nice and fast.

EDIT: Speeds from work are around 1.4 MB/sec so I can't say that godaddy is to blame.

Hey, if it works for you, I see no issue. It works for me, just not quickly. Your repo only has a few packages, so I think that the speeds are acceptable for the infrequent kernel updates.

On the most recent update I topped out at 160 kb/s which never happened before. I don't mind though. My ISP tops out at 700kb/s so... I'm used to not going too fast.
