Hello,
i re-installed Arch and i am having problems getting my laptop to cleanly shutdown and reboot.
I encounter a kernel panic and i am unsure what the cause might be and have attached
pictures of the screen. If any additional information might be needed, let me know!

Huh, just 1 Hour ago i installed a new Arch on my old notebook and got the same issues.
I'll try to work it out, let me know if you find something.

got the solution out of this topic: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=149999
Just add the user to "power" group
# gpasswd -a username powerOffline
I am already part of the power group
[ ~]$ groups
lp wheel games network video audio optical storage scanner power users

After the update to kernel 3.6.7-1 there is a new line above the ones shown in the screenshots:
Warning at arch/x86/kernel/smp.c:123 native_smp_send_reschedule+0x58/0x60()
I still get kernel panics on shutdown and reboots.
Any advice?
