Hello,
I have the ASUS Zenbook Prime UX31A and the backlight function keys do not work out-of-the-box. There are some workarounds as stated in thr arch wiki, but in the Ubuntu Wiki I read
" it seems likely that Linux 3.7.x will allow Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 to work".
I would like to try it out, so what is the best way to upgrade the kernel? Are there already testing packages with kernel 3.7 avaible for an easier install?
Thank you very much!

Have you tried the "acpi_osi=" parm in /etc/default/grub ?

Thank you!
This should be added into the wiki article about the Zenbook.
