[SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

Hi,

The package "apache" seems to be corrupt!? I really updated all my keys using
# pacman-key --refresh-keys

Error message:
> error: apr: signature from "Jan de Groot <jgc@archlinux.org>" is invalid
> error: failed to commit transaction (invalid or corrupted package)
> Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

I installed it from several servers, but the error still occured. Tell me if you have the same problem.

Thanks for helping.

Delete the package from your cache and try it again. Changing mirrors without redownloading the package doesn't do much.

Indeed, this is a step that I performed already. But no improvement took place and the error occured again. I also synchronized the package databases...

Just in case, if you do not believe me:

# rm /var/cache/pacman/pkg/apache-2.2.23-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

Maybe, my mistake is more fundamental.

Re: [SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

pacman-key --refresh-keys then switch mirror and download again. (and use a http mirror)

Is there another server to download the keys?

I have tried already the following servers, which worked well in general:

Server = http://archlinux.puzzle.ch/$repo/os/$arch

Re: [SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

You could try to change keyserver, the mit one is usually reliable. You might also want to check out your network in case there is some issue there.

Re: [SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

No changes in the keyring except an error message at the beginning of the update

gpgkeys: key CE6CD54FD51DE42DA4D58CB481B50928381FA23A not found on keyserver

Essentially, for the key of Jan de Groot, I get "gpg: key 3B94FA10: "Jan de Groot <jgc@archlinux.org>" not changed"

The error stays the same:

What do you mean? It is Sunday 25.11.2012 at 20:36... Which represented at:

# date

Re: [SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

It was just a idea. A wrong date can cause a signature verification failing.

In my /etc/pacman.conf file, I have not applied any changes. See on your own:

[options]
HoldPkg     = pacman glibc
SyncFirst   = pacman
Architecture = auto
CheckSpace

[extra]
SigLevel = PackageRequired
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

...

Re: [SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

@10PinkPanther: Could you tell me, from which server you downloaded it? Just in case it was a server problem what I want to exclude...

So, I conclude that the problem must be on my computer. But, I still have no idea.

Re: [SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

I wouldn't know exactly.I have only some of european servers enabled.I'm a noob(that's what I think of myself) and I wouldn't know how to check what server exactly.But I don't think that's your problem,but if you want you can change your servers.

Re: [SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

So, can you call me the first url in the file /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
It depicts all mirrors from which you synchronize your packages. I only want to check it out.

Re: [SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

As everyone expected, I can not install it whether from the server from germany nor from the french one.

Thanks a lot, even as I have not achieved anything. I can even change to

SigLevel = TrustAll

and the signature is still not accepted.

Re: [SOLVED] Apache-Installation: error: signature invalid

It was a really stupid mistake: I looked up the dependencies of apache and tried to install each of them indiviually. One of the following packages was probably corrupt at the download.

apr-1.4.6-1  apr-util-1.4.1-1

After downloading them again, they installed properly. -> SOLVED!!! Thanks to all your hints!

Best,
Peter
