[Solved] Trigonometry in nickle

The trigonometric functions in nickle are giving me seemingly wrong numbers, e.g. sin(30) gives an answer of -0.988031624092862 instead of the expected 0.5.
There is an example on their website that says  atan ( 1 ) * 4  should equal pi, which in nickle it does but my casio says 180. What am I missing?

In Zen they say: If something is boring after two minutes, try it for four. If still boring, try it for eight, sixteen, thirty-two, and so on. Eventually one discovers that it's not boring at all but very interesting.
