I can no longer login with the recent package update. It just states that its all now systemd
I use kdm to login to enlightenment and all it does is kick out to terminal and then back to kdm.
Any ideas?
I can login to kde and I can login to enlightenment16
Thanks

ok well I ran slim and tried to launch exec enlightenment_start using .xinitrc and it stated incorrect executable. I double checked that enlightenment_start was in /usr/bin which it is.
So something must be wrong somewhere.

had a similar problem
the solution was to remove ALL packages releted to e-svn and then install enlightenment17, elementary and epplet-base from official repos.
in short: replace all old packages with new ones

ok status update I fixed part of the issue.
When I launched it from terminal I got the following error:
error while loading shared library libudev.so.0 cannot open shared object file no such file or directory.
I looked into it and it was looking for a file that isnt there.
So I did:
ln -sf /usr/lib/libudev.so.1.2.0 /usr/lib/libudev.so.0
and tried again.
Now I get the error:
/usr/bin/enlightenment: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libelementary.so.1: undefined symbol: ECORE_X_ATOM_E_ILLUME_CLIPBOARD_STATE
anyone have an idea??? thanks
also I did remove all old packages and install all new ones

Is your mirror out of date?
Can you post a list of all enlightenment related packages with version numbers you have installed?
Offline
pacman -Qs enlightenment
local/elementary 1.7.2-1
Enlightenment's widget set
local/enlightenment 1.0.11-1
A fast, flexible, and very extensible Window Manager
local/enlightenment17 0.17.0alpha6-1
Enlightenment window manager DR17 (aka e17)
local/epplet-base 0.14-1

heres an update.
Fixed. It was an error caused by an unclean uninstall of the enlightenment aur package
So had to delete /opt/enlightenment
used
LD_DEBUG=files /usr/bin/enlightenment
to get output of what was being called.
