Is pacman-key --init supposed to take a long time?

How long should pacman-key --init take to finish?  I have a feeling it should take less than 10min (but I wouldn't know).  Basically I want to install packages (obviously), but whenever I try to install anything it tells me there's an error with the PGP signature, and I've heard you need to run pacman-key --init before you can actually use pacman.  Whenever I run the command it sits there for 10+ minutes without doing anything.  I've yet to actually leave it long enough for something to happen so I just wanted to know how long it should take (so I know how long I'll need to wait for it to finish).

If it helps, the model of the computer I'm installing ArchLinux on is an Acer AOA150/ZG5.

I've looked around on Google and the ArchLinux wiki and I've found nothing so far.
