Sift through a few pages of the thread and I'm sure if it's been mentioned but, do you have any intention of supporting Ipods? I've been through many players and so far this one is the perfect foobar replacement, except the ipod part.
Definitely on par with Foobar in terms of speed though.
Great work.
No short term plans to support ipod syncing (ask Apple when they'll support Linux and Ogg Vorbis). Short term I do like to get 'hard disk' syncing up and running for devices that can be mounted as regular drives. Of course, patches and other contributions will always help speed things up.
Edit:
I noticed Goggles had boxes for asian text. Not sure how to get it to display the regular text.
Change the font (in the preferences panel) to one that supports Asian characters.

Hello! Thanks for the awesome software!
Recently I ran into a weird problem, when ever a track ends, the volume setting jumps up to some default and I have to adjust it everytime.. This is little bit annoying.
I don't have a clue what might be causing this, so I posted here.
Thanks in advance!

What audio driver are you using? Did you turn on Replay Gain by chance (if so try turning it off)? (perhaps it may be a xinelib issue since that was recently updated to 1.2)

I just wanted to say that I've tried out Goggles after getting annoyed with the 100% CPU usage bug on Clementine.
I love it so far but was wondering if there is a possibility of adding or using icons that aren't included with the default install? If not, I would love to see that.
Thank you for the great player!

gogglesmm makes use of the standard icon themes in /usr/share/icons. You can change the theme selection in the preferences panel.

Any plans for song rating and play count?

Yes, both are available in the current development version. If you're curious you can try it out: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gogglesmm-hg/

Thank you, I already do!
But both seem not working, play count does not count and I do not find the way to rate songs. Also there is no genre panel anymore? Am I doing something wrong?

As far as I know playcount should work, perhaps it may have been broken recently. To rate tracks at the moment, you need to add the "Rating" column to the tracklist (right click, configure columns). (same way you can add the playcount to the view).

OK, rating works, I try with another song if play count works (previous song was 0:52). Play count worked with bigger song (3:20)
Also there is no genre panel anymore?
Thank you!

There is, you can toggle it with Ctrl-G (yeah I know... bit hard to find).

Thank you for instant replies!
For last.fm I can see no username and password input field, only sign up. For libre.fm it is ok.
Edit: I found how it works.

You removed the text menu above the player in the git version? Or is it missing (in my build)?

Looking for a way to change the browser-columns (Tags*|Artist|Albums).
Is it possible? (Sorry, if i don't see the obvious)
* in fact "Tags" is genre?

Yes, they're now called tags and usually stored as genres in the file tag.
Show / Hide the tags column (Ctrl-T) or right click in the active item in the sources list.
Show / Hide all columns (Ctrl-B) or right click in the active item in the sources list.

Will there be opus support?

The library now supports opus (with the help of taglib 1.9), basic playback works but is not totally compliant yet.

I'm happy to announce I've just released Goggles Music Manager 0.13.0-rc2. To recap some of the new features of this release:
- Newly developed playback engine (supporting Ogg Vorbis, Opus, Flac, MP3 and MP4), replacing the xine.
- A Podcast Manager has been added to manage rss subscriptions.
- Long running operations (import/sync) are now performed in the background.
- This release improves the album view with larger album covers and improves performance.
- File browser view.
- MPRIS v2 Interface.
- Fullscreen Presentation mode.
- More modern UI.
You can get the latest release from AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gogglesmm-git or directly from https://github.com/gogglesmm/gogglesmm/releases.

Do you want this moved to Community Contributions? Had I seen it two years ago, I would have just moved it. If you would like it moved, use the report function and drop the moderators a note.
Edit: Moved, by request.

Love this player - nice and simple. A couple of questions:
1) Is it possible to delete playlists?
2) Is there a Queue function and, if so, how does it work?
