netcat6 not in official repo???

I am wondering why the package netcat6 is not part of the official repos. If the reason is that simply no TU could find the time, I understand that, but otherwise I think this reflects badly on the "latest and greatest" as well as "KISS"  philosophie :-). IPv6 is the latest and greatest and netcat is a very basic requirement.

Re: netcat6 not in official repo???

Ncat part of the nmap package has ipv6 support and so does openbsd IIRC.
Theres too many netcat implementations in official repos.
