[SOLVED] wget: signature invalid

hey,

I am trying to install wget (it wasnt installed by default) and I am getting the following error:

[root@jane ~]# pacman -S wget
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...

Targets (1): wget-1.14-2

Total Installed Size: 2.31 MiB

Proceed with installation? [Y/n] y
(1/1) checking package integrity 100%
error: wget: signature from "Stéphane Gaudreault <stephane@archlinux.org>" is invalid
error: failed to commit transaction (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature))
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded

I have ran:

pacman -Syyu

I have set Siglevel = Optional Trustall and tried SigLevel = Never.

I have updated pacman keys using pacman-key --init and pacman-key --polulate.

No matter what ive tried I still get the same error with wget. wget is the only package this is happening to me for.

Re: [SOLVED] wget: signature invalid

Delete the wget package from the cache and try again.  If that doesn't fix it change mirror, delete the cached package and then "pacman -Syyu".

edit: A quick search would have revealed several similar threads.

Re: [SOLVED] wget: signature invalid

Don't try to circumvent the signature checks when one fails, that's a really silly thing to do.

Like Loafer said, the solution to this is well documented.

Alright, I cleared the cache and that didnt help. I ended up removing the package from /var/cache/pacman/pkg, redoing all the key stuff, and then it worked. Sorry if I didnt look hard enough before asking, but thank you for your assistance and direction.
