Notifications gnome 3.6 for caps_lock status

Hi all!
I haven't a status caps_lock led on my keyboard, so i would code a notification that show me (on key press) caps_lock status.
I tried to do a similar work with notify-osd, but the notifications are not disappears and are held in the notification area, like this:

Instead, i wanna that the notifications are displayed like this:

The problem is that i don't know API to use to show a notification like this!
Can anyone help me?
