Hi:

After recent updates, cannot remember exactly, my internal HP webcam functions intermittently. It works some time , does not sometimes. I have tried every forum ,haven't found an answer. Tried the wiki .. no go.

My lsusb is

On boot many a time this message on 'unable to enumerate USB device on port 5' keeps spawning continuously. Then the webcam does not turn on when I open guvcview. I use arch 64 with LXDE. My laptop is a HP Pavillion g4. HP Webcam-101

guvcview error:

Guvcview error:

Unable to open device

Please make sure the camera is connected
and that the correct driver is installed.

Whenever the boot message does not occur the webcam operates flawlessly.

Any ideas?

Can furnish more details if needed.

Tks in advance.
