Hallo arm,

i took a look at the xfce4 mailinglist and they detected some serious bugs
in 4.0.2. This release is already requested at the forum. I droped a message
there.

4.0.3 was released yesterday and is in the repos. pacman -Syu brings it to you.

FYI, xfcalendar was added to the xfce4 group, but it won't be installed by a simple "pacman -Syu".
A manual sync of xfcalendar is needed to get a full featured xfce4 4.0.3 desktop

A manual sync of xfcalendar is needed to get a full featured xfce4 4.0.3 desktop

Furthermore, it has an annoying bug, which is in the software itself not in the
package:
Open it the first time, it doesn't pop up a window but appears in the systray
only. Closing it from the systray and reopen it wil bring you the window. This
happens because it doesn't find a config file which will be created only after
it will be closed properly (from the systray). You can work around it by open
the settings (rightclick desktop) choose All Settings-> XFCalendar then do
your settings and close. This will create the needed config file, too. This must
be done before you open xfcalendar first.

2 Aurelien: I'm currently revising the dependencies in the xfce4 packages.
2 Major issues:
1. xfce4 configs are done as xml-files mostly. Until now we had the
dependency fullfilled this way:
libxfcegui4->gtk2->librsvg->libxml2. This has changed, now librsvg is
dependent on gtk2. This breakes some xfce4 deps.
2. I will take care of the makedepends and do that strictly. Many packages
depend on the libgui and libmcs only. The panel or the mcs-manager are
makedepends only. Some of the apps might be useless when the panel is
not installed. But using the actual dependencies only make a mixture of
panels backgrounds and WMs easier like some people do it. For the
others we have groups in pacman. Tell me what you think, please.
You will get a mail with the revised PKGBUILDs when its done.

the gtk2 - librsvg depends were changed because before they both required the other to build which is not the case and which ultimately cause a clean system not to build these two packages because to build gtk2 you needed librsvg. gtk2 builds without librsvg but librsvg needs gtk2 to build. therefore so for packages that require librsvg do not require gtk2 in the depends or makedepends as well as librsvg will bring in gtk2 with it if it is not present.
