I want to install archlinux on a desktop, which already has a windows os.The windows thing says that I have a 500GB HDD with 3 partitions: 100MB for windows boot, 37GB for windows files and a third one of 463GB. My problem is that the command `fdisk -l` prompts that I have only one partition of 500GB, which confuse me and I don't whant to lose all data due to my newbieness.

Using fdisk from the Arch installer? Other LiveCD? GPT or MBR disk? Have you read (and understood) everybody's favourite wiki page?

I used fdisk -l from the Arch installer and after that from an ubuntu live cd. The results are similar. The instalation guide was read and now is understood. Since now I've preformed three successful Arch installations, two of them still functional. The partition is MBR only. Actually I see only the 463GB partition. Is it possible that the two partitions related with the windows os to be hidden, if so, how can I make them visible for the dual boot?
