Individual AUR RSS Feeds

I feel so intimidated by this site's userbase with how inexperienced and not-as-smart as I am. T T Hopefully you wont squish me for posting a non-'Newbie Corner' thread? *chuckles weakly*

Anyways, this is more of an idea for the AUR itself. I've been thinking about how useful it would be if the AUR portion of the site was given an RSS feed to each individual package for updates. I'm not sure how good of an idea that would be with bandwidth/storage costs and whatnot, but I just thought I might bring it up.

I'd usually post more information, but there's really not much more to it that I can think of, the idea's pretty simple and obvious in it's uses.

Re: Individual AUR RSS Feeds

Whatever uses you have in mind can probably be implemented very easily with python3-aur. If you don't know Python (and aren't willing to learn), then you can use whatever you do know to retrieve that data from the AUR RPC interface directly and format it however you want.

Note that one of the benefits of the python3-aur package is that it uses temporary local caching to reduce the load on the server. The cache time is configurable and can be adjusted as necessary for a given application.
