Laptop Install PCI Detect Problem

I liked arch when i last tried it (.2 or .3 release) and have had trouble getting linux to install onto my new laptop (Sager 4080 mmm), so i figured id try the current release of arch. I downloaded and booted the ISO, and it boots, but durring the boot process it hangs on "PCI: Enabling device 00:02.6 (0000 -> 0001)". I was playing with gentoo on here earlier, and had to use the acpi -nodetect kernel/option to make it boot, since some pieces of hardware in here seem to cause linux to lock durring boot.  said gentoo install later found my M10 video card(agp 4x) and shat itself, so that didnt even begin to work out. I suspect its either the video card or the internal USB cardreader/wifi card, or possibly hyperthreading (as i understad 2.4.2+ single processor kernels are generally OK with that) that causes the issue, but im still unsure. is there a way to prevent arch from detecting said device durring bootup, get to a ACPI capible kernel initally, and/or other reccomendations?

Try the -jc cd, it has a vaio kernel that has acpi built-in.
