With mkinitcpio 0.12.0-1 my encrypted swap device doesn't get openend anymore. I have set up a system following the wiki here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LU … sk_support The swap is not opened anymore a boot time and the 'creating volatile files' hook in systemd gets a timeout. No swap is created during bootup.
FWIW: my hooks array:
HOOKS="base udev shutdown autodetect modconf block filesystems usbinput keymap encrypt openswap resume fsck"Harvey

I downgraded to mkinitcpio 0.11.2-1, changed my hooks array back to:
HOOKS="base udev shutdown autodetect pata scsi sata filesystems usbinput keymap encrypt openswap resume fsck"and all is well again. This is definitely coming from the new mkinitcpio.

Take the time to look at the wiki page I quoted in my first post and you will be informed ![]()
The hook is described in depth there.
