URXVT -ip or -tr switches

Anyone got these pseudo-transparency switches working well-enough that moving another window over your terminal doesn't make its background glitch into colour?

I'm on the latest repository openbox, and am irritated that I can't leave a terminal sitting transparent and borderless on the desktop, because its background goes to a dull gray when another window is placed on top of it.

Re: URXVT -ip or -tr switches

Could you guys please post your .Xdefaults? I must have something amiss somewhere...

It's unbelievably irritating.. basically, if I click outside the terminal window and then back on it again, the blocks around the terminal cursor go white, and after that the whole thing goes white/grey when highlighted with the mouse, or when a command is executed. Similarly, if I move another window on top of the terminal window, a white block appears wherever the foreign window was present.

Any explanation would be welcome, since a lengthy search on google has returned nothing.

EDIT: Since no response was forthcoming, and since further searching in google and the forums turned up zilch, I switched to Eterm, which doesn't produced the same problem... I'd still like to know what's wrong with rxvt and its offspring though...
