new X Server

I, for one, would like to see an XFree86-cvs pkg. It looks pretty complicated and takes a while to build, but the advatages are there - mergedFB is now in the trunk, do dualhead DRI is possible for us radeon users. I am sure there are alot of other benefits as well and i can't wait for XFree86 4.4 to come out. The latest version is XFree86-4.3.99.902 - it is a release candidate for 4.4. Good Luck and Happy package building.

Re: new X Server

damn i was really hoping this would not be about xfree86. xfree86 really needs to start developing faster and better. the support you speak of is long overdue and likely is buggy as xfree86 developers are notoriously slow and behind the times.

anyway it may not be a bad idea to have a xfree86 relkease candidte package. maybe a tur can build one?

Re: new X Server

I used to have one.  It's since been removed.  But hey, if I can do it, anyone can.

Re: new X Server

except me, :'(

If you could rebuild it, or send me a PKGBUILD. (But building X takes forever, so one of you cluster farmers do it and upload the PKG)
