Solving Kernel Panics?

I came home and had a kernel panic.  Only thing that i could understand was xfce4taskman and rtl819 which is my wireless card.  is there a way to determine the cause and solve it so it doesn't happen again.  or is my wifi card dying or something? addittional info qbittorrent was running at the time.  had a few before when it was running before.   downgraded kernel and upgraded again before and all seemed well.  maybe it's a qbittorrent bug?

With such vague information, there is really no way to tell you what was going on here.  Unless you can supply exactly what was dumped to your screen, I don't think anyone can do any more than simply guess as to what your problem was.  I have seen users actually post pictures (like with an actual camera) of their screen after a panic.  But I assume that if you are now posting, that screen is gone.

With such vague information, there is really no way to tell you what was going on here.  Unless you can supply exactly what was dumped to your screen, I don't think anyone can do any more than simply guess as to what your problem was.  I have seen users actually post pictures (like with an actual camera) of their screen after a panic.  But I assume that if you are now posting, that screen is gone.

is there a log anywhere in the system with actual info?

At the point of a kernel panic, the kernel is basically f*cking up to the point where it cannot be trusted. Thus writing to a filesystem would be unnecesarily risky business.  This is whay it dumps to your screen.

So until you have another (hopefully not soon), you are just kind sh*t outta luck...

well i tried transmission to download same files and no kernel panic.  i think it might have something to do with the client since it's happened 3 times before all with the same client running.  and it does mention my wifi card.  maybe the torrents are overwhelming my wifi card? this is just guesswork though.
