yes, i've tried to install & run but got errors .. i'll post the errors later (i'am on windows now..he..he)

Not exactly answering your question but have you looked at Planner (nee MrProject) as I have found this to be a very good project tool which can do most of what MS Project, and has some interesting additional features

i've tried Mr Project & it is working fine. The only problem is, it can't read/open MSProject files where my company use it as standart format...
