Re: Completely mirror Arch Linux installation from my Desktop to my Laptop

This is because you forgot to re-generate a new grub.cfg. The UUID (i.e. that long string of numbers) changes every time you format a partition.

Using the latest Arch ISO, mount the partitions (first the root partition, then /boot, if you have a separate partition for that), chroot into the install and follow the instructions from the Beginner's Guide.

Re: Completely mirror Arch Linux installation from my Desktop to my Laptop

I chrooted into my installation and reinstalled grub and re-generated the config, but I still land in the grub rescue.

If I set in grub rescue the prefix and root to my partition and grub installation I can't boot nevertheless. Insmod linux and insmod normal tell me: "Error: file not found"

Edit: Now everything works, thanks a lot for the help.
