[moc] Why not write a C library?

Hi there,
I'm just a novice, but I wondered why moc developers didn't write a C library for Music On Console. I think this is the only drawback compared to mpd.
I'm learning C and I am writing a little program which needs moc, and I can imagine using a library would be better than using commands.
Don't you think it's a good idea?
Maybe we could create a little project and write library together.

Ehmm... maybe ask the moc devs themselves? They probably don't read distro forums that often.
