How to configure a DualPoint Stick?

On my Dell E6530 "xinput -list" shows these two input devices:

⎜   ↳ DualPoint Stick                         	id=13	[slave  pointer  (2)]
⎜   ↳ AlpsPS/2 ALPS DualPoint TouchPad        	id=14	[slave  pointer  (2)]

I fail to find a way to configure the sensitivity and speed of the DualPoint Stick.

For the trackpoint of my ThinkPad this is no problem as echoing values for sensitivity and speed into some files works.

But on this system, I don't have these files. I gave gpointing-device-settings a try, but while the DualPoint Stick showed up, I couldn't configure the sensitivity and speed (changing the available settings like "inertia" had no effect).
