OSS sound gone after upgrade.

Does any of the following updates concern sound?

I'm asking because the sound has stopped working. I did an upgrade and rebooted. Then the sound started to drop out from time to time. There was sound for a while. Then the sound went away for a second or two and came back for a while. When I rebooted it took a few minutes before the sound started working. In the end the sound was gone entirely.

I was using OSS4. Switched Alsa, but no luck. Have not been able to get the sound back again. Have been running OSS4 for several months without any problems. The sound is sent from the computer to the receiver through an optical cable.

Re: OSS sound gone after upgrade.

Seems like it might be the receiver that is broken, not the computer.
