[solved]copying of mp3 files to usb messes up playing order on dvd

Using thunar to copy mp3 files to usb stick for playing in standalone dvd player results in folders not sorted and mp3 files within folders are also not in playing order.

I tried renaming files/folders by 1st removing underscore characters, even renaming mp3 files to nn.mp3: the end result is always non-sequential order of tracks/folders. I tried the usb stick on two different dvd players, and I get the same result.

Copying the files from a windows xp pc to the usb results in expected behaviour.

- I am using thunar to automount (no entry in fstab for usb stick)
- xfce DE
- FAT32 filesystem
