I know this looks like a noob question but since the last gnome update I can't find a way to set a wallpaper if it's not directly in my pictures' directory,
Is there any way to change the default path for the wallpapers to another directory?

Use the image viewer, and you can use that to change your wallpaper.

F-ing brilliant GNOME devs, just brilliant.
I've set up web servers, resurrected dead PC motherboards, rebuilt classic cars, can prescribe haemodialysis etc etc, and yet had to google how to add my own pictures to GNOME 3.6.2 so they'd be available for choosing for the desktop wallpaper. Sigh.
[EDIT: OK, so you can also do it by selecting a picture with the right-click context menu, but still, was it soooo hard to retain the 'plus' button in the control panel?]
