pacman does not work [SOLVED]

pacman stopped working properly, and whern I look at /var/lib/pacman/extra/ I just see:

Yes, there should be more packages. Have you tried:
pacman -Sy
That should fix it (i think).

if it doesn't, delete the contents of that folder and maybe try switching mirrors.
What are your error messages?

Yes, I used pacman -Sy but nothing works. No error messages either.

I will delete the contents right now and will give feedback in a few minutes.

Addendum:

Deleting /var/lib/pacman/extra contents did not work. I think I need a new synchronization, but I do not know how to do it.

Changing server did the trick. Thanks!!!
