mceusb/lirc/systemd

I'm trying to get lirc working, so I can use it with systemd. It used to work just fine . . . before systemd. I've followed these instructions: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xb … g_a_Remote , but no luck.

If I try ir-keytable -t, I get this error:
/dev/input/event15: Permission denied

I'm guessing I need some kind of udev rule to get me the permissions I need? If I run it as work, there are no complaints, but it doesn't register any remote button presses.

Thanks

Re: mceusb/lirc/systemd

If you followed the instructions and set the protocol to lirc, your device should be handled by /dev/lirc0 rather than /dev/input/* - so ir-keytable shouldn't be needed at all.

Run "irw" and press some buttons, they should all be mapped correctly already if your remote is MCE compilant.

Hey, it started working, even though I didn't change anything! Last time I tried it, irw didn't do anything. I probably had the wrong set of modules loaded or something. Thanks!
