Why is there no gst-ffmpeg after gstreamer upgrade?
I usually have gstreamer-ffmpeg and related packages installed, but now totem is almost broken because of unable to play wma, avi files any longer. I guess that is caused by no gst-ffmpeg, but I didn't find that even in AUR, anyone has a clue? Thanks in advance.

ganlu, totem does indeed have an optional dependency on gst-ffmpeg, but gst-ffmpeg has been replaced in the repos by gst-libav, which provides gst-ffmpeg.
ConnorBehan, fyi totem uses gstreamer, not gstreamer0.10.

On a related note, pacman -Ss gst-ffmpeg would have shown you gst-libav

Oh, thanks a lot, I got it. Now totem works after I installed gst-libav and gst-plugin-ugly, thanks again.

Oops, I have searched "gstreamer" by pacman -Ss, but gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg confused me, which makes me never thinking of using pacman -Ss gst-ffmpeg.

If you find this easier to remember, you can install the pacman-contrib package, which contains a script called pacsearch. It is full of color and pretty wonderful.
Also, if this is solved, please be a good member of the community and mark is as such.
